Hello everyone!  Happy Friday to you!  I hope you have had a great week.  It’s been a busy week, but I finally got around to making another video.  Did I mention that my birthday was on Wednesday?

For this card, I wanted to use some paper by Basic Grey, from their Olivia collection.   The pink leopard print is so fun and girly.  It was screaming to be paired with some rhinestones and glitter.  I also used another pattern from Basic Grey’s Nook and Pantry collection.

I cut the telephone shape using my Cricut.  The size is 2.89 inches.  It’s a weird number because I used my Gypsy.  You could cut it at 2 ¾ inches and I’m sure it would be just fine.  The telephone image is from the Wall D├ęcor and More cartridge.

I know some of you will probably be asking about the rhinestones that I used in this video.  I buy my crystals from www.hotfixqueen.com.  For the “numbers” I used the 12 ss size.  For the center of the dial, I used the 20 ss size.  I buy the Preciosa brand, because I feel that the quality is equal to the Swarovski.  Both are genuine crystal.  Genuine crystal has a brilliance that you just don’t get with glass or plastic rhinestones.  I wish the camera could pick up the sparkle, but it just doesn’t do them justice.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend!  We are hoping the rain stays away so that opening day of Little League won’t be rained out.  My son is looking forward to playing his first game of the season on Saturday…and I’m not sure I want to sit in the rain to watch him.

Thanks for visiting!

I'm Still Here

Hi everyone! I know most of you probably think I've fallen off of the face of the Earth. I apologize for the prolonged absence. I have been incredibly busy.

For those of you who don't know me personally, I'd like to take just a moment to fill you in on what's been happening in my life. My mom was recently diagnosed with T Cell and B Cell Lymphoma. She started her treatment last week and I have been helping with driving her for biopsies, infusions, and visiting her while she was in the hospital.

On top of all of that, I have been working 12 hour shifts at the hospital as a part of my last semester of nursing school. And I had midterms last week and today.

I've also been working on some projects for Lifestyle Crafts. They have some fabulous things in the works!

Needless to say, I've been incredibly busy! But, I will be back with a new video later in the week. I've really missed creating and posting! See you all soon!

Ruffled Flower Birthday Wishes

Hello everyone!  I hope you are having a wonderful Friday.

I apologize for my recent absence.  I have been very busy keeping up with the demands of school and motherhood.

Today's video features the Ruffled Flower stamp from Hero Arts.  I fell in love with this image when I saw it.  I knew I had to have it.  It is such a feminine, flirty and bold image.  To color the image, I decided to pull out my Twinkling H2O's.  Twinkling H2O's are simply watercolors, with shimmer.

I wanted the main statement of this card to be the flower.
