Wanna See Some Projects?

I know I have been kind of MIA lately.  Life is busy!  Mom's still in treatment for lymphoma and we've been traveling back and forth to Stanford for her appointments and treatment.  It's about a four hour drive.  On top of that, I am still in school...and I'm still a mommy and wife.

I thought I would share this link to  The L Blog where you can find some creative inspiration...and several projects that I have created (even scrapbook layouts by me!).  Right now, they are having a sale on their patterned paper.  Their patterned paper is very good quality.  I consider myself a bit of a paper snob...and when I received this paper, I was very impressed.  Check it out, you won't be sorry!

I am very sorry for my lack of time.  But that should keep you inspired in the mean time!

Hope you have a happy, fabulous day!

Letterpress Damask Thank You

Hello everyone.  I hope you are having a fabulous week!

Here is a quick card I made using my Letterpress tool from Lifestyle Crafts.  I have done a "how to" video on using the Letterpress in the past, and you will probably see me use this tool more and more.

The Damask printing plate set is one of my favorite sets from Lifestyle Crafts.  I think if I could put this pattern on my walls I would.  I think I am drawn to damask because the pattern is so bold an graphic.

I also used the Nesting Labels die set from Lifestyle crafts to create the window on the front of my card.  I think they make a fabulous pair, don't you?

You can enter to win the Epic Letterpress Combo Kit by visiting Amy's blog.  Hurry on over there.  You only have until Sunday to enter.  And, you can find a discount code there too that allows you to save 20% off of your order from Lifestyle Crafts through April 24th (that's Easter).

I hope you have a fabulous day and are ready for a great weekend.

Cancer Ribbon Thank You

Hello everyone!  As I am sure you have either heard, or read, my mother is currently in treatment for lymphoma.  She will be having a stem cell transplant in the next few months and is receiving chemotherapy right now.  She has had a lot of people extending kindness to her and I wanted to make her some special thank you notes to use during this time.

I used my Cricut to cut the ribbons from the Pink Journey Cricut cartridge.  I also used the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge to cut the ovals.  I also added some stamping for the sentiment and background on the oval.  And of course, they wouldn't be complete without a rhinestone in the center of that bright green ribbon.  Lime green is the color for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma awareness.

I thank all of you for your kind words and support.  It will definitely be a long several months.  My mom is a very brave woman.  This is her second time battling Lymphoma.

Yesterday, my mom shaved her head.  Her hair was falling out at a very rapid pace from the chemotherapy and she decided to just get it over with and shave her head.  I have posted her before and afters  here.

My mom is also the honoree for this year's Leukemia Lymphoma Team In Training marathon team.  They are training to run a marathon in San Diego later this year, with the hopes of raising money for Leukemia and Lymphoma research.

I hope you are all having a wonderful week.  I have had a pretty good one.

Tomorrow is Opening Day for Little League.  My son is ready to play ball this season.  And I am ready to be his biggest fan!

Have a fabulous weekend!
