Build A Blossom Card

Hello everyone!  Are you having a good week?  I sure hope so.  The good news is that the weekend is pretty much here.

Today's card is kind of a wedding inspired card.  I wanted to be all about the white.  It's hard sometimes to do white on white, but I think this turned out great.  Alternating textures will help to set one piece of white off from the other.

I used the Blossom Petals punch from Stampin Up to create this card.  It also has a stamp set that coordinates, but I chose to use the punch only for this card.  I finished the flower off with an antique brad and a spritz of shimmer spray.  The bottom photo shows a bit of that sparkle on the flower.

CHA is this weekend, and I really wish that I was there.  Unfortunately, they did not do a consumer show this year, so I was unable to go.  I am really bummed out.  I really would like to go to the Chicago show this summer.  We'll see how the year goes.

What are your plans this weekend?  I am hoping to craft, relax and spend time with my family.  Those are always good things to fill the weekend with.

Hello everyone!  I hope you are having a fabulous week!  Tomorrow, I start my final semester of nursing school!  I can't believe it!  I'm excited and nervous.

Today's card was inspired by a red glossy, lipstick kiss!  Mwah!  I wanted my X's and O's to have a shiny, glossy look.  I love the way this card turned out!

I used some fabulous new dies by Lifestyle Crafts (also known as Quickutz) to create the square window on the front of the card.  You will definitely be seeing more of their products on my blog.

Filled With Love

Hello everyone!

I'm baaaa-aaack!  I'm very excited about 2011 and I hope to start showing you a wider variety of crafting products and projects.

Today I'm jumping right into Valentine's Day.  This card was made using the Filled With Love stamp set and the Jolly Holiday designer series paper.  Have you ever thought about using leftover Christmas paper for Valentines' projects?  The red and white papers work great for Valentines' cards.

I realized this isn't your normal "frilly" Valentine's day card.  This is intentional.  There are some people in our lives, especially the men in our lives, that we need cards for.  I wanted to incorporate some traditional Valentine's day colors, without making it too frilly.
