Teacher Appreciation Gift: Chevron Rainbow Notecard Set

Spring is here and the end of the school year is quickly approaching.  Summer will be here before we know it...and it's time to start thinking about showing your appreciation to those special teachers that have poured themselves and their knowledge into your children for the past year!  Teacher Appreciation Day is Tuesday, May 8th.

Today, all of the designers over at My Pink Stamper have created teacher appreciation gifts for your inspiration!  So be sure that you head on over to My Pink Stamper's site to check out all of the projects from the My Pink Stamper Design Team.

I love to give notecard sets to teachers.  And I wanted to create something fun and modern to give to my kids' teachers this year.  I decided a chevron patterned card with a rainbow of accents would be perfect.  So, I opened up my Photoshop Elements program and set out to create a digital notecard set that I could print, cut, embellish, and add a splash of handmade with a tag.  Each teacher gets something unique...and I saved myself a ton of time by creating these cards digitally, rather than in a transitional crafting manner.

Each of the notecards say "from the desk of Mrs. Lemus" {and since they're digitally created, I can quickly change the name for each teacher}.  I printed two cards per 8.5 x 11 inch piece of white card stock.  I then cut them in half and added three rhinestones to the front part of the card sentiment piece.  {I am loving all things rainbow right now!}

I created the tag using my Silhouette machine.  I added some ribbon and the "You are FABULOUS" sentiment from the Fabulous Phrases stamp set by My Pink Stamper.  This happens to be one of my favorite stamp sets!

Thanks for stopping by!  And be sure to stop by later this week for more inspiration.  But in the meantime, you can head over to My Pink Stamper for more inspiration!

Have a fabulous day!
