Bloom Mothers Day Card

Mothers Day is Sunday!  And that means you still have time to bust out the supplies and make mom a very special handmade card to show mom how special she really is.

I made this shaped card and I just love the sunny yellow color and vellum accents {nothing like tooting your own horn}!  Nesting dies are fabulous for creating shaped cards.  I have posted a video below showing exactly how I created this card.

This card features products from Lifestyle Crafts {I have linked all of the products below}.  The Bloom Embossing Folder is one of my favorite embossing folders and creates a fabulous pattern and focal point for this card.  And don't forget, any time you shop at Lifestyle Crafts, use the coupon code GLITTER to get 20% off your entire order.

So tell me, what are your plans for Mothers Day?  I'll be working...taking care of new mommies and their babies {the life of a nurse}.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a wonderful day!

  1. I love this card....You did a great job!!

  2. This is a really pretty card Carissa!!

  3. Wow! Your mom is lucky!! That card is beautiful! Frame worthy even! :) Love the video too!

  4. OMGoodness!! What a beautiful card! I love every detail on this card....especially the pearls. They were the perfect finishing touch to really make it pop! Your mom is gonna love it!!

BTW, from the first time I discovered your blog (and LOVED your creations!) I was even more drawn to your site when I saw you were an RN, like me! I love finding crafters who are also mom's and nurses like myself, and am impressed that you can find the time to keep a blog going and document your beautiful creations, bc I know how hectic everyday life can be lol! But today I was even more excited when I saw you were an OB nurse, again like me! Besides my co-workers, I don't know any other OB nurses, and none that have a blog and do paper crafts. I've been an OB nurse for 7 years now (7 years this month actually!). It's all I've ever done...graduated nursing school on a Friday, and started working on an OB floor the following Monday. I feel blessed that I can say I love what I do, and can't imagine doing anything else! Anyhow, just wanted to say that I love your creations, and am even more wowed knowing how you must have to carve time out of your busy day-to-day life to find time to not only create, but to sit down and video what you do so that you can share your projects with the world and inspire us! TFS!!
