Merry Chalkboard Gift Card Holder-Teacher Gift

The other day I showed you how to make a gift card envelope, and today I have another fun way to give a gift card.  With the fun Chalk background stamp from Hero Arts serving as a backdrop, this may be the perfect teacher gift.  Nothing says teacher like a blackboard.

I used lots of dies to create this fun card.  The bow is from the Lifestyle Crafts Knotty Gift Set (one of my favorites), which was released last year.  The label shapes and flags are also dies from Lifestyle Crafts.  You can find links to all of the products used in this project below.  You'll also find the video tutorial below as well.

The finished card measures 4.25 x 2.75 inches.

Instead of mounting the labels to a card, try punching a hole at the top to make it a gift tag.  It would be a fun alternate version of this card.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a FABULOUS day!

  1. It turned out beautifully! Very cute idea

  2. Hi Carissa!
Thanks for sharing your adorable gift card holder. I love the way you designed it so that the gift card is tucked between the front panel and the card base....a creative and unique GC holder. I always love your beautiful projects. Can I ask you a question about the Genius cutting mat? It doesn't look like the typical heavy acrylic cutting mats like the ones we use for the Cuttlebug or Big Shot. Is the Genius cutting mat a self healing mat that does not need to be replaced as often as the acrylic ones? Thanks Carissa....have a wonderful day! :)
