Studio Calico Copper Mountain Card Kit Reveal

It's finally time for me to share the fun projects I created using the Studio Calico Copper Mountain Card Kit and the Spaulding Bowl Add On.  I had so much fun playing with these products.  You can see the kits today over on Studio Calico's website.  And if you know anything about Studio Calico, you know these kits sell out fast.  (Please note, if you are not a current subscriber to Studio Calico, the links to the January kits will not be active until tonight at midnight EST.)

The first three cards were created using only the Copper Mountain Card Kit, some inks and basic supplies in my craft room.

Isn't the whale cute?  The kit includes a stamp set and die set that feature the whale and some great sentiments to go along with him.

The card above just may be my favorite of the release.  The ribbon and gold twine from the kit are FABULOUS!  I combined it with a little bit of gold spatters, some gold edging and the "hi" piece from the kit to make a clean and simple card that makes me giddy!

And who doesn't love a good cloud?  I used the digital files to cut out the cloud and then stamped on it using the stamp set from the kit.  The hearts are part of the die collection in the kit as well.  I popped up the hearts and added some glossy accents to make this card rain love!

The next two cards were made with only the Spaulding Bowl Add On Kit.  This colors and papers in this kit are to die for.  And the stamp set?  It's perfect for teacher note cards and every day use!

Tell me those glasses are not to die for!  I just love them.  I cut them out using the digital cuts for use with your Cameo and then stamped the glasses in gold ink right on to the digital cut out.  I added a little water coloring to the lenses and some glossy accents for the perfect finishing touch.

Overdue Full-9.jpg

Once again, I used the digital cuts for this "Overdue" card.  I cut two of the books out and stamped them both, then layered them up to add more dimension to this already adorable book.  I added some ribbon from the kit for a book mark and some hearts cut from the Copper Mountain dies.  The stamp set has a coordination sentiment that could be stamped inside of this card for the perfect birthday card that's just a bit "overdue".

Finally, I combined both kits to create this birthday card.  I know boy cards seem to be the toughest to make for everyone out there.  I combined some papers and a button from the Copper Mountain kit and used one of the stamps from the Spaulding Bowl add on.  I masked the stamp so it just says Happiest of Birthdays.  Masking is a great way to get more out of your stamps!

So there you have them.  Six new projects from the January Studio Calico kits.  You can check out other products in the Studio Calico Shop while you're there too!  And see all that I do on Studio Calico by following me.

So tell me, which card has inspired you?
