Happy B Day (To Me!)

It's kind of a special weekend here!  It's my birthday weekend!  And I am really looking forward to celebrating.  The celebration starts now!

In honor of my birthday, I've created a birthday card to share with you.  And I have to say, I LOVE this card.  I think this may be one of my favorite cards that I've ever created (and I've created a LOT of cards)!  I just love the colors, the banners…the sequins!  It's just all kinds of happy on a card!

I used a die cut from Papertrey Ink as the focal point and some FABULOUS paper by Maggie Holmes and Crate Paper.  I can't believe I hadn't EVER touched this paper pad.  And I'm so glad I dug it out for this project.  I layered lots of strips of this patterned paper behind that die cut to create lots of fullness behind the die cut.

I layered several of the die cuts up to create lots of dimension.  This is a great way to add dimension to those tiny die cuts without having to cut foam adhesive with surgical precision.  It's so much less frustrating too!

I've included a video walking you through the entire creation of this card below.  I've also included links to all the products used in this project below.  Just click the picture of the product to link directly to the product.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed this project and I hope you have a FABULOUS weekend!
