Mondo Magnolia Two Ways - Essentials By Ellen Spring Release 2015 Blog Hop And A Giveaway!

Hey everyone!  I have a treat for you today!  Today is the Essentials By Ellen Spring Release Blog Hop.  There are tons of projects along the way…plenty of eye candy and inspiration!  For a complete list of stops along the hop, scroll down.

Today I’m sharing a couple of projects featuring the Mondo Magnolia Stamp Set and Mondo Magnolia Die set.  I love this bold, gorgeous stamp set.  And it has one of my favorite sayings EVER in it…”You are my person”.  I’ve included a video tutorial below walking you through a couple of these cards that I created.

For the first card, I decided to create a gorgeous layered focal point.  I used white cardstock stamped with the Mondo Magnolia stamp set and layered the vellum over the top, cut with the Mondo Magnolia Dies.  This creates such a dreamy feel for this flower.  And I’ll show you in the video how to add lots of dimension to this flower as well.

This flower would also look beautiful on top of a package or on a gift bag.  It’s large size makes it to versatile.

Grab your sunglasses for the second card.  The first card is soft and elegant and THIS card is bright and modern.  I stamped the Mondo Magnolia stamp on to some bright green card stock and white heat embossed it.  Then I used the Mondo Magnolia dies to partially die cut the layers and make it feel like the flower is blooming right off the card front.

By combining bright colors and modern patterns, this stamp set takes on a completely different look.

The final card features to Mondo Magnolia stamp set again….but a more abstract version.  I created a watercolor background and partially stamped the Magnolia to add some abstract shapes behind the pooped up sentiment.

Giveaway Alert!  In addition, I get to give away the Mondo Magnolia Stamp Set to one lucky hopper.  Just leave a comment here and tell me which is your favorite new item in this release to be entered.  Comments will close on Tuesday, May 5th, 2015 and the winners will be announced on May 8th, over on The CLASSroom blog.
