Antler Chic - Christmas Products Year Round

Hi everyone!  I'm so excited to be back after a little break for the holidays!  I took some much needed time for some R&R and family time.  I rarely take time to just sit still...and I needed it!  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season!  I'm back and ready to create!

Don't pack up your Christmas stamps and dies just yet.  There just might be something there that you can use year round.  The Antler die from the Essentials By Ellen line is the perfect example of a die, that seems a bit Christmas, but can actually be used year round.  You just have to look at them in a little different light.

I've been seeing these prints, cards and other things with antlers combined with florals.  I don't know what this look is called, but I'm going to call it "antler chic".  I'm using the antler die, combined with some beautiful floral stamps from WPlus9 to create my very own antler chic style card.

I used a real wood paper to die cut the antlers, as well as the banner on this card.  Love that this brings in that really woodsy feel.

To keep it really feminine, I added sparkle with some gold glitter card stock, sparkling clear sequins and a dab of Star Dust Stickles on top of the flowers.

I'll walk you through this in the video tutorial below, so be sure you check it out!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed this project.  Stay tuned!  I have a feeling that 2017 is going to be the best year yet.  I'm looking for good things to happen.  What are you looking forward to in 2017?  I'd love to hear about it in the comments below.

Until next time, I hope you have a fabulous day!

  2. I am totally laughing all the way through! Did you plan to do this video, including the major discussion of "antler chic", while wearing a plaid (flannel?) shirt with a perfectly matched manicure? If so, what would we call the fashion/style. Can we call the attire antler chic also? Hmmmm....... Fun card. Thanks for the thought-provoking conversation and stimulus. I will surely be dreaming about this knotty issue tonight!!!
