Mirror Mirror - Essentials By Ellen February 2017 Release Blog Hop

Hi everyone!  I am so excited you stopped by today, because I have some fun projects to share with you, along wtih a brand new video tutorial.  I will be using products from the new Essentials By Ellen Winter 2017 Release.  This release is right up my alley, and I know you're going to love it too.  You can check out the entire new release HERE.

This post is  a part of a very special blog hop celebrating the Essentials By Ellen Winter 2017 release.  I'll have more deets on this hop below, along with information on a giveaway.  This hop will be full of inspiration, blog candy and fun fun fun!

This first project features the new Hinged Thanks die.  I combined it with the Wonky Backdrops stamp set.  This bright and colorful card was a snap to create.

The Hinged Thanks die is super fun, because it doesn't cut all the way through the entire word. Instead, the letters stay connected with a score line, leaving you with a peek-a-boo window in the shape of the word thanks.  This was the perfect opportunity to show off some of the fun patterns from the Wonky Backgrounds.

I did a little partial die cutting to split this word over two lines.  This gives me more options wtih the same die.  Otherwise, this die fits perfectly across a horizontal card.  Or try it on an angle across a portrait style card.

My second card features the new Mirror Mirror stamp and coordinating die.  LOVE LOVE LOVE this.  Such a fun mirror with diva lights.  I thought this was the perfect opportunity to use some foil to create a real mirror effect.  I used a champagne foil on the mirror frame and silver foil on the mirror portion for a two toned effect.

The sentiments in the Mirror Mirror stamp set are also a lot of fun.  I love Brandi's handwriting.  I heat embossed the You Look Amazing sentiment on some black cardstock so that the sentiment would really pop.

For the frame of the mirror, I added some small sparkling clear sequins to really accentuate the lights around the mirror.  This gives dimension and sparkle.

I've included a video tutorial below showing you exactly how I created the Mirror Mirror card.  I'll show you the entire new release and walk you through the entire creation of this card.  I've also linked all the products used in these projects below.
