Small Sentiments, Big Impact - Altenew May Product Release Blog Hop

Hi everyone!  Welcome back.  I'm so glad you stopped by.  Today, I wanted to use some new products from Altenew and give you some ideas for using small sentiments in a big way.

There are some fabulous new products available in the May release from Altenew, including stamps, dies and even some fabulous new embossing powders.  You can check out all of those new products by clicking HERE.

Today, I'll be using the Halftone Hearts stamp set (the Halftone Circles set was a huge hit...you can check out what I did with that one by clicking HERE).  This simple set can really make a big impact. I love that there are coordinating dies for the sentiments.  And this set could easily be mixed with the Halftone Circles sentiments to expand your sentiment horizons. ;)

But today I wanted to use those little tiny sentiments included in the set for my cards.  I'm going to combine several of them to beef up their presence and really make them stand out.

I'll walk you through these projects in the video tutorial below, so be sure to check that out.

For most of the cards, I used three different colors of blue/teal card stock for an ombre effect.

To change up some of the cards, I put the sentiments at an angle.

I also used different colors of card stocks for a sort of rainbow effect.

Finally, I used the included sentiments, and coordinating dies to create a card that coordinates with the others.

If you're coming to me from Debby Hughes' blog, you're on the right blog hop path.  From here, you'll visit Flora Monika Farkas' blog to continue along the hop.  You won't want to miss any of the fabulous inspiration along this hop.  It's chalk full of fabulous.

  68. Thanks so much for the sequin technique! I definitely will try that--anything that allows me to not pick them up over and over again, especially since I get them where I want them and then manage to send them into orbit before I get them married to the glue! (Seriously, there are thousands of missing sequins in the atmosphere over my house! Or, they might be buried in in my carpet!
