Balloon Shaker Card

This time of year is full of celebrations.  It seems there are birthdays, graduations, retirements and babies galore.  I'm scurrying to find enough cards for all of these special occasions!  Today, I've created a card that's perfect for all of these celebrations!  Since it's a busy time of year, this card is quick and easy to put together.

I used the We R Memory Keepers Nesting Balloons dies to create a shaker card perfect for any celebration.  I love that it's so easy to create this card and it's fun for the recipient.  By simply changing the sentiment or color scheme, you can make this card masculine or feminine, soft or bold….personalized for the person who is receiving it.  It would be lots of fun to use sequins in school colors for a graduation.

You can use most any kind of small embellishment inside a shaker card.  In these two cards, I've used sequins and wood veneer stars.  In the video, I'll show you a fast and easy way to make some colored confetti to fill you balloon with instead.  (If you're going to use wood veneer inside of your shaker card, I would recommend using two layers of foam take to secure the window portion to the backer to allow the wood veneer to move freely).

For another fun change, try using colored vellum or acetate for your window.  Printed vellum or printed acetate would make a fun and interesting addition to this card.  Or stamp the backer piece with a fun pattern that you can see through the window.

I've linked all the products used in these projects below.  And don't forget, when shopping at www.shopwer.com you can use the coupon code GLITTER to save 20% off your entire order

I mentioned in the video below which one is my favorite.  Which one is your favorite?  Leave a comment below and let me know!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you've been inspired.
