Layton's Legacy Fundraiser & Card Drive Blog Hop
Hi friends! I'm so glad you've stopped by. Today I am participating in something very near and dear to my ❤︎. I'm joining with several other talented card makers for the Layton's Legacy Card Drive & Fundraiser. Many of you may or may not know that I am a registered nurse. I work in the NICU, pediatric and postpartum units of my local hospital. When I heard that Lea was having this card drive and fundraiser to benefit NICU parents, I immediately reached out to see how I could help. I'm here today with a fun baby card and new video tutorial for this special event. You can read more of Layton's story below.
This hop, card drive and fundraiser, has been coordinated by the very talented Lea Lawson, AKA Layton's momma. Lea knows, first hand, what it's like to be a NICU mom, not once, but twice. And she knows that any act of kindness and care during that very difficult time can be just the ray of sunshine that a NICU parent needs.
Today's card is inspired by the mood board that Lea put together. I just love this mix gray, yellow, pool and gold with hints of woodgrains and woodland creatures. You'll see these elements in today's card project.
My goal was to keep this card simple, so that I could create more than one for the card drive. My goal is to send five cards to Lea for distribution in the The University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital NICU.
If you'd like to create a card using the theme/moodboard, I would love that! Lea will be including these handmade treasures with the gift cards when she hands them over to the NICU social worker. Lea's dream is that the NICU will be covered in beautiful creations inspired by Layton!!
