Letterpress Cork

Hi everyone!  I've had a busy couple of weeks, but I'm so happy to be back here sharing a really fun idea using the We R Memory Keepers Letterpress tool.  You've seen me use this tool many times before for a variety of projects.  It's one of my favorite tools.  Today I'm going to show you how to Letterpress cork!

I created this card using a few different products from We R Memory Keepers, including the Label It Kit, which is one of my favorite die sets.  I love the variety of shapes in this kit.  It's perfect for card making.  These dies cut through the cork sheets like butter.

I had to play with different ways of letterpressing the cork.  I think I found the perfect way of getting plenty of depth in the letterpress, without warping the sometimes delicate cork.  I'll share my tips in the video below.

My original idea for these was to use the gorgeous flower from the Garden letterpress plate set.  As I was playing with this, it donned on me that these would be the perfect teacher gift as well.  So I brought out the Scholastic plate set as well and made the monogram version.  You could quickly make a stack of these to give to your favorite teacher.  Mother's Day is also around the corner, and a box of personalized notecards would make a fabulous gift for your friends.

I'm sharing a how to video below, as well as links to all the products used in this project below.  Just click the picture to be taken directly to the product online.
