Beautiful Wings Easter Card

Hello everyone!  Well, we've survived a week with pneumonia, followed by a week of the stomach flu.  My kids have been sick non-stop for the past two weeks.  I am sick of having sick kids.  I think we are finally on the road to wellness.  I still have some lingering symptoms of my sinus infection, but other than that, we are good.

I finally got around to making another video.  I was lacking inspiration this morning...but I finally came up with this card.  I was trying to do something springy.  I usually prefer darker, richer colors to pastels, but I forced myself to use soft, cheery colors for this Easter card.  I used So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink and Pumpkin Pie for the butterflies.  I couldn't escape using Kraft card stock for the base of my card, partly because I had a precut and folded card just sitting on my craft table.  Overall, I think it turned out pretty good.

I used the Beautiful Wings embosslit to cut and emboss the little butterflies for this card.  I love these embosslits.  I can't believe I haven't purchased any before now.  You will be seeing me use a couple more of these in the near future.  I also used the Well Scripted stamp set and the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.

I also have to mention that I finally purchased the Stampin Up clear blocks.  I love them!  They feel great in your hands.  I love that they feel like wood blocks.  There are lots of sizes available...but I think my favorite so far is the "D" block.  We'll see.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!  Enjoy your day!
