Big Scripty Birthday Cards - Masculine & Feminine Cards

Hey everyone!  Thanks for stopping by today!  I have a project for you...well, actually two projects for you today.  I'm going to show you how to create a card that's more feminine in feel...and then just change a couple of elements to make a more masculine card.  This is easy to do with any card you might have in mind.  You can use the same layout and sentiments...make an adjustment to the colors and embellishments...and voila!  You have a masculine card.  Masculine cards are one of my most requested types of cards.  But I want you to feel confident in creating your own too!

For the background on both cards, I'm using the Hero Arts Calendar Background stamp.  I think this stamp was actually meant for planner use...but hey, it makes for a fun card background too.

I'm also using one of my new favorites for the greeting, the Lawn Fawn Big Scripty Greetings stamp and die set.  I love how you can use these products alone or together.  The die cuts frame the stamped greetings PERFECTLY.  I'm amazed every single time I cut one out.  LOVE!

I also used an oldie but goodie from Lawn Fawn to complete my sentiment.  I used the Clarks ABC's stamp set to spell out the word "happy".  This font pairs really nicely with the Big Scripty Words.  It's a great staple stamp set.  I love that there are multiples of the letters so you can stamp words without having to go back and fill in later.

For the more feminine card, I used Flamingo Dye Ink from WPlus9.  I paired it with Mint Julep, Moon Rock and Tide Pool.  Love this color combination.

To make a more masculine card, it was an easy swap.  I used Desert Night dye ink from Altenew in place of the Flamingo ink.  I changed a couple of other elements here and there...but the basic concept is exactly the same.  See!  Isn't that easy?

I'll show you exactly how I created the feminine version of this card in the video tutorial below.  Be sure to check it out.  I think you're going to like it.  I think I was a little bit goofy when I recorded the voice over...but hey...that's me!

I've linked the supplies used in these card projects below.  I've included links to a couple of different stores...my favorite online shops.

I'd love for you to chat me up in the YouTube comment section.  Leave a comment there.  Be sure to follow me on social media as well.  I have a video coming next week that you won't want to miss.  You can find links to my social media sites in the upper right hand corner of my blog.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I'm so glad you came.  Until next time, I hope you have a fabulous day!
